What changed
From 1 August 2026 the NHVR no longer has authority to grant new NHVAS accreditation; new accreditation is under the Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) scheme. General Safety Accreditation (GSA) is mandatory for entry and is achieved through an audit of your safety management system. Maintenance (GSA–MAP), Fatigue (ACA–Fatigue) and Mass (ACA–Mass) build on GSA.

Questions
Is this a done-for-you service?
No. It's an editable DIY document pack. Your business must choose its scope, customise the documents, assign responsibilities, train people, operate the system and keep evidence.
Does purchase include an official audit?
No. You arrange and pay an independent approved HVA auditor. AccrediRoad does not perform the official audit.
Does purchase guarantee accreditation?
No. Accreditation decisions are made by the NHVR after the required application and audit process. Results depend on your configuration, implementation, evidence and ongoing compliance.
Are prices GST inclusive?
No. All AccrediStart HVA prices are + GST. GST is added at checkout and shown on your tax invoice.
How is it delivered?
Straight after payment you're taken to a secure download page for the pack you bought, and the same link is printed on your tax invoice. The files are editable Word and Excel documents in one ZIP. If a download ever fails, email contact@accrediroad.com.au.
Do I need an AccrediRoad platform subscription?
No. AccrediStart HVA packs are a separate one-off purchase. They are not included in AccrediRoad Platform subscriptions, and you don't need a subscription to buy a pack.
Do I need GSA?
Yes. GSA is the core. Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue are add-ons used with GSA.
Can I buy an add-on without GSA?
No. Each add-on requires GSA. At checkout you'll be asked to confirm you have, or are buying, the GSA Pack.
Your operating limits statement must use your own NHVR-approved hours and conditions. The pack does not give you any hours entitlement.
